The nursing team from Hospital da Luz Guimarães went out to the streets on a first initiative to appeal for prevention. On June 18, the team was at Guimaraeshopping offering free screening to the population. Between 10h00 a.m. and 3h00 p.m., more than 400 screening tests were made to about 100 people, that obtained information on their cholesterol and blood sugar levels, blood pressure and body mass index numbers, receiving advice for a healthy life. In face of the initiative success, Hospital da Luz Guimarães promises to go out to the streets again, because “Prevention is always better than cure”.
