To demystify fears and worries concerning the practice of physical activity in pre and post-partum and inform on the different health care available to help women in these periods to have more quality of life, are the goals of the Seminar of Physical Exercise and Health in Pre and Post-partum , with its first session next March 7 (Saturday). The initiative is organized by Tempo Livre , with the collaboration of the Portuguese Association for Women Rights in Pregnancy and Delivery , and will count with the participation of health professionals (a gynaecologist-obstetrician, a physiotherapist and a nurse specialized in maternal health) from Hospital da Luz Guimarães . This seminar is not only destined to pregnant and puerperal women , but also to physical exercise technicians and health professionals (conferring credits for the purpose of renewal of the categories of physical exercise technician and clinical director). The technical lectures – ensured by physicians, nurses specialized in Maternal Health and physiotherapists, psychologists and physical education teachers – will cover topics such as: physical exercise in pregnancy and post-partum; women rights during pregnancy and post-partum; relaxation and guided meditation; diastasis and dysfunction of the pelvic floor in post-partum; evaluation of diastasis and pelvic floor in post-partum; depression in post-partum; and sexuality in pre and post-partum.
