The 1 3 th edition of the Laparoscopic Gynaecology Course of the Medicine School of Minho University counted, this time, with the live streaming of a surgery performed at Hospital da Luz Arrábida by Hélder Ferreira . The receptivity of the participants in this training, which took place between 25 to 27 May, organized by Hélder Ferreira and Cristina Nogueira Silva, was very positive, for the combination of theoretical and practical sessions (with simulators) and a live surgery. The goal was the learning and training of the main steps in laparoscopy procedures, a minimally invasive technique, that in the gynaecology field is used in the treatment of cases of endometriosis, gynaecologic cancer and pelvic reconstruction. The scientific commission of this laparoscopic gynaecology course integrated other Hospital da Luz specialists, namely António Setúbal , Filipa Osório and José Reis . This collaboration between Hospital da Luz and the School of Medicine of Minho University results from the investment in the training of health professionals and in innovation, which is part of our mission.
