The Hospital da Luz network promotes once again the Allergy Week: free screening on allergies, destined to the general population (adults and children). Between 4 to 8 April 2022, immunoallergists of the Hospital da Luz units at Lisbon, Setúbal and Coimbra will perform screening by video call, all the interested persons having to do a previous scheduling via MY LUZ app. Allergic diseases: Have been increasing over the last decades, namely among the western population; Occur when there is an inadequate response of the immune system to environmental elements (for instance: pollens, animals, dust mites) or other (foods, drugs, insects); Affect all age groups; Can compromise significantly the quality of life. This Hospital da Luz initiative is destined to all people, with or without a diagnosis of allergic disease , that have questions on possible allergies affecting them – be it respiratory, dietary, of contact, or to medication. “We are available to clear all doubts.
