Hospital da Luz provided clinical assistance and nursing in the 19 th Corrida de São Silvestre Vila Real, which took place last January 3 . The running event that marks the start of a new year and is already a healthy tradition, was the most participated ever: with around 900 participants, some of them taking the 10 km-running, the rest participating in the 5 km-walking. The Hospital da Luz team that has ensured the necessary assistance included nurses Diana Nogueira and Diana Ferreira. On the same day, took also place the São Silvestre da Pequenada event, providing the young ones memorable moments of conviviality and fun that encourage sports practise. Luís Saraiva, Vitória SC athlete, made history winning his fourth consecutive São Silvestre running. In the women’s event, Vanessa Carvalho from SC Braga was the winner. Jorge Ribeiro, president of the Athletics Association of Vila Real, the promoter of the event, expressed his satisfaction for “the best edition ever” , despite there being important athletics events in other cities at this time of the year. The initiative was jointly organized by the City Council of Vila Real, the 13 th Infantry Regiment, the Athletics Association of Vila Real, the Inatel Foundation, and the Parish Council of Vila Real.
