Hospital da Luz Oeiras will perform, on May 29, free screenings for cardiovascular disease. This initiative, open to the general population, will be conducted by the Hospital’s cardiology team and will consist of blood pressure, abdominal girth and body mass index assessments. Cardiovascular diseases, in particular acute myocardial infarction and cerebral vascular accident (stroke) are the main cause of death in Portugal, being essential to prevent and diagnose them early-on. In these cardiovascular screenings, our professionals will also be available to provide information and answer questions about cardiovascular diseases. On May, Heart Month, come and meet our team.
