People with hearing impairments have easier access to the Hospital da Luz network , since a partnership was signed with Serviin, a video interpretation service provided by the Deaf Citizen Portal. During 2024, Serviin's telephone line, dedicated to people with hearing impairments who wish to access the Hospital da Luz network, answered almost four dozen calls from deaf customers, thus supporting the provision of health care required by these customers in the Hospital da Luz units. Contact with the hospitals and clinics of the Luz Saúde group is made by telephone, with the call being activated through the Serviin app and mediated by an interpreter, who communicates with the deaf client via video, in Portuguese sign language, and by voice. with the Hospital da Luz customer service, which has a priority hotline to Serviin. The video interpretation service in Portuguese sign language is free and is open from Monday to Friday (including holidays), from 8am to 11pm.
