Executives and representatives of over 150 Luz Saúde partners from diverse sectors – from pharmaceutical industry to medical devices, among others – got to know , in a session held on October 3, at Hospital da Luz Lisboa, the initiatives developed by Grupo Luz Saúde in the areas of education, research and innovation, as well as the projects in preparation . Luz Saúde is one of the groups of reference in healthcare providing in Portugal , distinguished by the practice of excellent and highly specialized medicine . Believing that collective effort is the best way to attain the objective of creating value for patients, the group invited its partners that defend the same philosophy – of added value, outcome optimization for patients and financial sustainability – to discuss and assess the route that is being followed, which breaks with models from the past. Thus, the meeting gathered internal and institutional stakeholders, partners from the pharmaceutical industry and medical devices, besides consultants . Francisca Leite, director general of Hospital da Luz Learning Health, had the task to explain Luz Saúde vision in the areas of education, research and innovation , while Francisco Rocha Gonçalves, director of Health Technology Management from Grupo Luz Saúde, presented how new technologies are being introduced (such as Real World Evidence applications), in a sustainable way in financial terms, at the same time creating value for clients. The team from Hospital da Luz Learning Health (the group’s company dedicated to the areas of education, research and innovation) further presented some of the initiatives developed last year , such as the Simulation Centre – in the new building of Hospital da Luz Lisboa and which will be the most advanced in the whole Iberian Peninsula –, the support to research and the activities of innovation, inside and outside Luz Saúde.
