Hélder Ferreira , Hospital da Luz Arrábida and Hospital da Luz Clínica do Porto gynaecologist, performed a surgery that was followed live by the participants in an international course on endometriosis, promoted by IRCAD EITS, in Strasbourg, between the 21 st and 23 rd October. The physician did a laparoscopic surgery on a patient with complex and deep endometriosis. IRCAD is the major surgical training institution in the world, with a unique specialization in robotic and minimally invasive surgery for abdominal diseases. The course “Endometriosis surgery: from A to Z” counted with the participation of surgeons of fifty different nationalities and is an international reference in the area of endometriosis surgical treatment. The surgery conducted at the Hospital da Luz Arrábida operating theatre was broadcasted to trainees in Dubai, San Petersburg, and Strasbourg. Hospital da Luz Arrábida thanks IRCAD for the opportunity to participate in this event.
