Luz Saúde, through a project by Hospital da Luz Learning Health, won the first prize in the “Excellence in Professional Development” category awarded by the European Private Hospitalization Association. The prize was awarded to the “Simulation Pathway for Enhanced Patient Care” project – a project to improve healthcare based on the development, in a simulation environment, of new and alternative patient pathways in the hospital context – under the responsibility of Hospital da Luz Learning Health, which is dedicated to professional training, research and innovation at Luz Saúde. The awards ceremony took place this week in Bucharest, Romania, with Portugal's representation taking center stage. In addition to Luz Saúde, CUF was also one of the main winners. The award was received by Luz Saúde administrator, João Abreu Novais , who highlighted the work of HL Learning Health , especially the simulation center team, in developing the winning project. The European Private Hospitalization Association annually promotes these 'European Private Hospital Awards', which are awarded after an evaluation carried out by an independent international jury, for the best initiatives among the European private healthcare sector. This year, 53 private healthcare providers competed, from nine countries, who submitted 65 applications.
