Hospital da Luz Learning Health will organize, next October 4 , the 1 st Practical Course of Debriefing – a course destined to health professionals acting as trainers in clinical simulation or using simulation as pedagogic and teaching method, that wish to potentiate knowledge/competences learning and transfer. Debriefing is the last stage in clinical simulation , where trainer and trainee evaluate what has been done in the training, reflect on professional practices and define alternative or corrective options for the future. This stage of training in clinical simulation brings many challenges for trainers, that must broaden their knowledge on this method of reflexive practice. The general goals of this 1 st Practical Course of Debriefing are: to promote the acquisition of basic techniques of debriefing; to learn how to apply the basic structure of debriefing; to identify challenging situations during debriefing and develop adequate techniques to deal with it. The methodology of teaching/learning consists in the reading of pre-course bibliography and classroom theoretical-practical sessions (8h), divided into: Brief theoretical presentation. Interactive exercises of debriefing. Reflexive discussions.
