Hospital da Luz Lisboa obtained the best score in the satisfaction survey carried out in 2022 by the National Council of Internal Physicians (CNMI), where specialty interns classified all health establishments in the country with postgraduate training in medicine. This is the second consecutive time that Hospital da Luz has been chosen as the favorite among interns in Portugal. With a rating of 4.6 (on a scale of 1 to 5), Hospital da Luz was ahead of Hospital de Cascais (in second place, with 4.1) and the Local Health Unit of Matosinhos (which was ranked by 3.9). Among the aspects most valued by specialty interns at Hospital da Luz is the fact, among others, that the services with training suitability at the Hospital have 'an adequate ratio between the interns assigned to each of the existing training supervisors ', promote 'participation in training activities is promoted' and the services provide 'the appropriate technical conditions for training in my specialty, particularly in terms of facilities and equipment '. Now, three dozen doctors are carrying out their postgraduate training at Hospital da Luz Lisboa , in more than a dozen medical and surgical specialties (Pathological Anatomy, Anesthesiology, General Surgery, Endocrinology, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Intensive Care, Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine, Neurology, Medical Oncology, Pediatrics, Pulmonology and Radiology). The 2022 Medical Internship Satisfaction Survey, carried out for the second time, obtained 1,594 responses, around 20% of the total number of doctors in postgraduate training in 42 public and private hospitals in the country where there are services with training suitability attributed by the Portuguese Medical Association. Speaking to Lusa, which released the results of this study, the president of the CNMI, Carlos Mendonça, said that the overall results of the survey are "very similar" to those of 2021, but since then the institutions have not found solutions to change the most criticisms then pointed out by the inmates. "Of course, the measures take time to be implemented and for us to be able to reflect on them, but in this small period of time we can assume that things end up being very similar between the two years", said Carlos Mendonça.
