Nuno Cardim, the coordinator of the Unit of Cardiac Imaging , the Laboratory of Echocardiography and the Centre of Myocardiopathy and Hereditary Cardiac Diseases from Hospital da Luz Lisboa , is the new chief-editor of Revista Portuguesa de Cardiologia, the official journal of the Portuguese Society of Cardiology (SPC). He was designated by SPC to fill that position, starting on January 2020. Monthly issued, Revista Portuguesa de Cardiologia publishes scientific articles in the areas of arrhythmology, cardiac surgery, intensive care, coronary disease, echocardiography, electrophysiology, hypertension, cardiac insufficiency and imaging methods, among others. Cardiologist since 1995, and graduated in 2003, Nuno Cardim practices at Hospital da Luz Lisboa since its establishment, in 2006, and is presently invited professor at Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade de Lisboa. He integrates the editorial board of Revista Portuguesa de Cardiologia since 2001 and will now direct the publication, by decision of a jury including members of the SPC managing board and the outgoing chief-editor, Lino Gonçalves.
