Vasco Mascarenhas, radiologist and coordinator of the Unit of Musculoskeletal Imaging from Hospital da Luz Lisboa, is the guest editor in the June edition of “Seminars of Musculoskeletal Radiology”, a renowned scientific magazine of the specialty, dedicated to the diffusion of the most advanced techniques in the area. This edition will have for theme “Hip and advanced musculoskeletal imaging”, including topics related with findings and innovations in the diagnosis and treatment of hip joint and pelvis diseases. The magazine publishes 14 scientific papers of different radiologists and orthopaedic surgeons, Portuguese and foreign. In the editorial, signed by Vasco Mascarenhas and Alberto Vieira (coordinator of the Imaging Service from Hospital Cuf Porto), it is highlighted that this edition intends to be useful for clinical activity, allowing physicians to improve their knowledge on hip diseases, giving them access to a critical perspective on the application of the latest technologies to the diagnosis and treatment of such diseases. This is the major European meeting of specialists in musculoskeletal imaging, counting with Hospital da Luz sponsoring. The president of the congress will be Vasco Mascarenhas.
