Pedro Vilela gives training to European specialists

The neuroradiologist Pedro Vilela from Hospital da Luz and Hospital Beatriz Ângelo was guest speaker on the 'Pierre Lasjaunias' course in neuroradiology at the European Society of Radiology, directed by physicians in this specialty from all over Europe.

The course, one of the most prestigious in this area, includes different themes and aims to update experts on the latest international standards and directives in diagnostic neuroradiology and intervention, with leading European specialists as trainers. Pedro Vilela was guest speaker for the course module on tumors of the central nervous system, held in Greece last April.

The Portuguese specialist, who is president of the Portuguese Society of Neuroradiologists, directs the HBA neuroradiology service and has been part of the radiology team at Hospital da Luz since 2007.

And radiologist Vasco Mascarenhas gives an international paper on arthritis

Vasco Mascarenhas, Hospital da Luz radiologist, responsible for musculoskeletal imaging unit at the Imaging Center, also attended the last congress of the European Society of Radiology dedicated to this issue, having given a paper on the specific area in which he has developed most of his clinical research. The Hospital da Luz specialist, who sits on the society's arthritis experts committee, spoke about 'Instability of the wrist and arthritis'. The congress was held this June in York, England.
