Robotic surgery of Hospital da Luz Lisboa in SPCMIN 2017 Congress

Six surgeons from Hospital da Luz Lisboa Center of Robotic Surgery, including the unit coordinator and director of urology, Kris Maes, will speak and intervene in the Masterclass of robotic surgery, taking place next October 14, in Lisbon, in the scope of the 2017 Congress of the Portuguese Society of Minimally Invasive Surgery (SPCMIN).

The specialists in robotic surgery from Hospital da Luz Lisboa, Kris Maes, Paulo Roquete, Rui Formoso, Filipa Osório, Fernando Martelo and Bruno Graça, will intervene in the different sessions of this Masterclass, speaking about robotics in urology, general surgery, gynecology and thoracic surgery.

This strong participation of HLL Center of Robotic Surgery team, directed by Kris Maes, in the Masterclass of the SPCMIN Congress reflects the importance and investment made by Grupo Luz Saúde, particularly Hospital da Luz Lisboa, in this innovating technique, in order to extend its application to different surgical specialties and train its professionals in the most recent technological evolutions in robotic surgery.

During the Masterclass of October 14, urologist Kris Maes will perform a live surgery, which will be broadcasted at 8:30 a.m., in real time, from HL Lisboa operating unit to the SPCMIN congress hall and to the auditorium of the hospital, for all professionals interested.

The 10th edition of the Congress of the Portuguese Society of Minimally Invasive Surgery will take place in Lisbon, from 12 to 14 October, and gathers specialists from all over the country, this year being specially dedicated to topics related with rigid endoscopy, flexible endoscopy and image-guided procedures.
