Hospital da Luz Nurses Distinguished at Congress of Portuguese Nurses Association

The paper presented by Diana Mendes, nurse from Hospital da Luz Lisboa medical surgical inpatient unit, Isabel Gonçalves, nurse coordinator from the same unit, and Cândida Ferrito, lecturer at the Institute of Health Sciences, received the distinction of best free communication in the Nursing Congress.

In their communication, the three professionals approached ERAS program – an innovating clinical program gathering the best practices in healthcare provided to patients submitted to surgery –, namely, the “Implications in the practice of nursing: scoping review”.

The 5th Nursing Congress, organized by the Portuguese Nurses Association, took place between 27 and 28 April, at Centro de Congressos de Lisboa.

Maria José Costa Dias, Hospital da Luz Lisboa nursing director, integrated the scientific committee of the event, as vice-president of the Nursing Council of the Portuguese Nurses Association.
