Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim was the official medical provider in another edition of “Os Dias no Parque” (Days at the park), the major cultural and social initiative, this year having taken place between 4 and 7 June at Parque da Cidade. Promoted by Póvoa de Varzim municipality, the event has gathered thousands of people around concerts, sports activities, and cultural initiatives. Along the four days of the event, Hospital da Luz was present on site with an advanced medical station equipped with advanced life support capacity, to ensure a permanent and differentiated response. The system set up integrated a multidisciplinary team with nine health professionals permanently on site, and a total of twenty elements among doctors, nurses, and medical emergency technicians. Assistance was ensured uninterruptedly from the start of activities until the daily closure of the precinct late at night. The team was always in close articulation with the various protection and security agents, namely the Volunteer Firefighters, Civil Protection, PSP, GNR, and Municipal Police, thus ensuring a coordinated and effective response. Besides the medical station, teams circulating around the precinct reinforced the rapid intervention capacity in urgent situations, contributing to the overall security of the event. Lu, Hospital da Luz mascot, was present once again in this great celebration, adding to the global atmosphere of joy. Hospital da Luz Póvoa de Varzim thanks the municipality for the opportunity to participate once more in this memorable annual event celebrating conviviality, culture, sport, and local solidarity. With this participation, we reaffirm our commitment to the community we serve.
