Hospital da Luz Setúbal carries out COVID-19 antigen tests, with laboratorial processing like PCR tests, but with even faster results (in up to 4 hours), for a unit cost of €25. Samples are collected in drive thru mode, available by car or on foot, upon previous scheduling, to avoid unnecessary queues and delays. The antigen tests carried out at Hospital da Luz Setúbal: Have principles like those of rapid tests currently performed in pharmacies and to those of self-tests, but they are performed in the laboratory from samples collected by nasal and/or oral swabs, such as PCR. Therefore, its results take longer to be available than those from pharmacies. Does not require a medical prescription. Are valid for the purposes of a certificate to be presented in legally required situations, with a validity period of 48 hours. Costs are not co-participated by the National Health Service (SNS) insurance or health subsystems. In the case of health insurances, the cost may be subsequently reimbursed, depending on the established plan (it is recommended to previously consult the insurance company for that purpose). Scheduling: via MY LUZ or through the other available channels (please specify if you intend to do a PCR or an antigen test). Access for drive thru sampling: with its own location in the Hospital parking . Sampling hours: Every day (Monday to Sunday), from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. Results: available exclusively on MY LUZ (the app of Hospital da Luz clients; you can download results, save it or send by e-mail). Payment: Using reference received by SMS ou at MY LUZ.
