Hospital da Luz Arrábida has prepared itself to receive with all tranquility and security all those who need and seek its services. The security of our hospital begins right at the entrance to the facility. At all the access doors to the hospital you will find a screening station where you will be asked if you have symptoms suggestive of COVID 19 and / or if you have contacted any suspected or confirmed cases. The temperature will also be measured. If the answer to any of these questions is positive, you will be offered a medical evaluation or alternatively, contact with the specific helpline of the national health service. You will be provided with a surgical mask to replace yours if it is a community mask or with a filter system. The virus that causes the pandemic is essentially transmitted through the air, so the use of the mask is the most important factor to reduce the risk of transmission of infection. You must remain with the mask on for the entire period of stay in the hospital. The mask must be correctly placed, well adjusted to the nose and always cover the mouth. If you notice that your mask is dirty or damaged, do not hesitate to request a new one. Avoid touching surfaces or objects unnecessarily. You will be asked to wash your hands at the hospital entrance. You can do it again whenever necessary, using the various antiseptic solution dispensers available in all circulation areas of the hospital. Distancing is another very important measure. When traveling within the hospital, avoid stopping in circulation areas. Always look for areas with the least number of people and respect the signs. In the waiting rooms, the arrangement of the chairs was changed and some seats were rendered unusable, avoiding close and face-to-face contact. Physical barriers were placed at the counters, which separate it from the professionals who serve it. Companions may be asked not to enter to decrease the number of people in the hospital. At Hospital da Luz Arrábida, we maintain the quality and excellence of care guaranteeing the safety of patients and all health professionals.
