Hospital da Luz Clínica Santa Maria da Feira was the official partner and ensured clinical assistance in the “101 Games Applied to Taekwondo – Kinder Games International ”, sports event having taken place from 19 to 21 June at Mozelos Municipal Pavilion. This is a special competition, mostly destined to young children (aged between two and six) coming from different countries, who along with their trainers and masters may enjoy here a unique experience that combines sport, learning, and cultural interchange, provided by taekwondo. Throughout the three days of the event, Hospital da Luz Clínica Santa Maria da Feira has kept a team permanently available on site, comprising a doctor and nurses ensuring the follow-up and immediate response to any clinical situation. The project “101 Games Applied to Taekwondo” stands out by its strong social and educational component, promoting the inclusion of children from different socioeconomical contexts in the practice of sports. Through a play-based methodology, the project views the integral development of the child, encouraging values such as respect, discipline, cooperation, and team spirit. Beyond the taekwondo championship, the program has included conferences, high performance training, and a motor action circuit, gathering national and international delegations, as well as a renowned set of trainers and reputed masters. The “101 Games Applied to Taekwondo – Kinder Games International” are promoted by Mozelos Taekwondo Sport Club in partnership with the municipality, and the support of the Portuguese Taekwondo Federation and Portugal Taekwondo North. Hospital da Luz Clínica Santa Maria da Feira appreciates the invitation to participate in such a relevant initiative for the community. This way, we reinforce our commitment towards the promotion of health and safety in sports context, actively contributing to the success of a project of high social and educational impact.
